Reporting your claim

  • Contact us at (334)466-8023, press option 3 to report your claim.
  • To expedite the claim reporting process, please have the following information available:
  • Policy Number
  • Insured Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
  • Operator’s driver’s license information
  • Date and time of accident
  • Accident location (street/cross street)
  • Police report information
  • Make and model of all vehicles involved in the accident
  • Contact details of persons involved in the accident

Vehicle Damages Review

After your claim has been reported, we will need to review your vehicle damages. We have the following options available:

  • Mobile App: We can send you a link via email or text that will allow you to take and send us photos of the damages for review.
  • Vehicle Appraiser: We will schedule an inspection of the damages to your vehicle with one of our vehicle appraisers.
  • Direct Repair Facilities: We have relationships with many body shops where you can bring your car and receive an estimate from a shop within our network of repair partners.

Claims Review & Investigation

  • Each claim is reviewed and investigated by a Gateway Insurance Company claims adjuster.
  • The adjuster will conduct a detailed review of the applicable auto policy and available coverages.
  • Our adjusters will also take statements from all involved parties, including witnesses, and will review accident facts and existing investigative reports such as police or incident reports.
  • We will keep all parties informed during this review and will be happy to answer questions and concerns.

Rental Vehicle Information

  • If you have rental reimbursement coverage on your Gateway Insurance Company policy, we will cover the cost of a rental vehicle while your vehicle is undergoing repairs according to the terms and conditions of your policy.
    You may use the rental car company of your choice and for your convenience.
  • IMPORTANT: For non-Gateway Insurance Company policyholders, a full accident investigation must be completed before we can determine if we will provide rental accommodations for the loss.
